The poetic cadence of your voice, the somber music, the visual of the pond, and the heartfelt remembrance transported me as an Astral observer into the past of your existence just as a past life regression might. I felt it. I experienced it. I lived it. Excellence!
Thank you, Kevin. I appreciate you & feel especially grateful for your experience with this audio as "one-take, free form, off-the-cuff, mistakes left in" isn't my comfort zone; a certain quality standard, even if not perfection, is, but I also knew it/It couldn't be replicated, so "vulnerability overload" be damned, I hit publish. I'm grateful for wonder and you.
A happy "behind the scenes" thing: when I listened to the audio,
I heard a laugh I didn't know I had: one that can forgive and go on...life imitating art, etc.
The minor "mistakes", which are very minor, make it better, especially if they allow you to keep the real emotionality in the piece. I love that you left the piece alone. Thank you for allowing us to see and feel the other pieces of your childhood experience that surely have shaped you. xo
Thank you, Dr. Sherry. No script on this one, aside from the "email bit" that was my prompt, just my intention and a minute's forethought as to a title before recording, so unlike most of my other audio pieces, there is no performance here; no perfection, either but the example of losing myself momentarily to tears *and to keep recording, to keep going, to not treat tears, even in a recording (this time) with frustration and as a failure is I hope part of the message and "witness" of this audio message: notice and acknowledge and praise wonder that rises still in us, as Us.
